A status code does not tell you the checkout says out of stock or the homepage shows a stack trace. A keyword monitor fetches the raw HTML and checks that a phrase is present, or absent.

How it works
Point it at a page
Any URL you can reach over HTTP or HTTPS.
Choose present or absent
Alert when the phrase disappears (your product name) or when it appears (an error string).
Confirm from both regions
The same majority rule as every other check, so a cache blip in one region is not an outage.
